Chris Clark Highlights Workforce Challenges and Solutions as Guest Speaker at Rotary Club of Dunwoody

DUNWOODY, GA (March 8, 2024) -- Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, recently shared valuable insights on the future of Georgia's workforce during a special guest appearance at the Rotary Club of Dunwoody. Clark's presentation delved into the significant changes and potential challenges facing Georgia's economy.

Clark outlined demographic shifts, such as an aging workforce, lower participation rates, and the impact of A.I., that could lead to a "demographic cliff" by 2030. He emphasized the need for proactive solutions to ensure Georgia maintains its competitive edge as the top state for business for the 10th consecutive year.

To address these challenges, Clark highlighted the Georgia Chamber's initiatives. These include promoting internships, apprenticeships, classroom engagement, mentorships, entrepreneurship, and skilled trades to strengthen the talent pipeline.

Georgia's sustained economic success depends on a skilled and prepared workforce. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce is committed to working with businesses and communities to develop innovative solutions that ensure our state's continued prosperity.

Clark encouraged attendees to learn more about Georgia's economic competitiveness, infrastructure, and workforce challenges by downloading the Georgia Chamber Foundation's Economic Competitiveness Redbook 2024.  LINK: https://www.gachamber.com/redbook-24/
