Winters Chapel UMC Preschool, a Preschool of Excellence in the United Methodist Preschool Association of the North GA Conference, is looking for a qualified Lead PreK teacher to join our teaching family. We have been a cornerstone of early childhood education in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs/Peachtree Corners area for 50 years.

This is a part-time position, hours are M-F 8:45-1:30, with paid school holidays and breaks. We follow Gwinnett county’s school calendar for holidays and school breaks. We start mid-August for training and pre-planning and our school year officially starts the Tuesday after Labor Day. If you have a preschool- aged child, we offer discounted tuition for staff.

We are seeking a teacher to offer instruction a variety of educational activities, including arts and crafts, free play, storytelling, and handwriting skills. Our Pre-K lead will be helping students learn the fundamental concepts they needed for kindergarten, such as identifying numbers and letters, socializing well with others, and working effectively in a classroom structure.

The ideal candidate will possess:
**Bachelor’s Degree (Education and Early Childhood Education a bonus but not required)
**Past experience teaching children in the pre-kindergarten age group.
**Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
**Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
**Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children.
**Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
**Familiarity using a computers, applications, software, and hardware.
**Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.
**Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
**Must be flexible.
**Must have excellent communication skills with colleagues and parents.
