Job Description

We are looking for a crew of efficient, safety-minded Laborers for commercial and residential construction development. We implement sediment controls such as sediment basins and silt fences. We have long-term work available for the right candidate in two positions. Applicants should have some construction knowledge and access to reliable transportation. Laborers with special skills, such as BobCat and Forklift operation, are in especially high demand. We offer a consistent work schedule and competitive pay. The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.

Laborer responsibilities and duties

• Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
• Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs and navigate construction job site terrain
• Dig pits, trenches and foundations in preparation for job site construction
• Operate heavy machinery, including construction vehicles
• Identify utility lines
• Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site
• Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary
• Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew

Laborer qualifications and skills

• 2+ years’ construction industry experience preferred
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Ability to operate BobCat and Forklift is a plus
• Comfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
