Dunwoody seeks input on two master plans

The City of Dunwoody will provide two opportunities in December for community feedback on master plans for city-wide trails and the park at Vermack.

Dunwoody, GA – November 15, 2022 – The Dunwoody community is invited to share input on master plans for city-wide trails and the park at Vermack Road during two open house events in December. The Dunwoody Trail Master Plan Open House will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dunwoody City Hall, 4800 Ashford Dunwoody Road. The Park at Vermack Master Plan Open House will run from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 4809 Vermack Road, where the park is located.

“Master planning helps shape the vision of future projects, and robust public input is critical,” said Dunwoody City Manager Eric Linton. “This is our first opportunity to hear feedback on the city-wide trail plan with the PATH Foundation. For the park at Vermack, we’re looking to refine the plan, taking into consideration extensive community input.”

Dunwoody City Council recently approved an agreement with the PATH Foundation for the creation of a trail master plan. During the Open House on Dec. 7, residents and other stakeholders will be encouraged to share ideas about potential destinations, desired trail routes, and preferred trail types. For the Park at Vermack Master Plan, the Dunwoody City Council recently requested additional time and public input. The Open House on Dec. 10 will give residents a chance to review the most recent concept plan and walk the property, where desired amenities will be marked off to show sizes and locations.
